Welcome to the official site of Douglas Cub Scout Pack 316. Sponsored by St. Denis Church, the mission of our pack is to build a foundation upon which our scouts will make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. The pack leadership has over 60 years of combined scouting experience, and has come together to deliver a FUN and EDUCATIONAL YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM that instills self-confidence, leadership skills, patriotism, compassion through service, and the love of the outdoors.

In addition, there’s a continual focus on Scout Spirit. According to the Boy Scouts of America, Scout Spirit applies to how a Scout lives and conducts his “daily” life. He shows Scout Spirit by being a role model to his peers, and living by the Scout Oath and Law. The concept of Scout Spirit is not based on how many Scouting events or outings a Scout attends, but rather by how he helps bring out the best in others as a reflection of his own character and attitude in his “daily” life.

Our pack of over 50 scouts enjoys hiking, fishing, camping, Pinewood Derbies, STEM oriented activities, and much, much more! In January 2015, we were recognized as a “Gold Unit” in Scouting’s Journey to Excellence Program.   Criteria that were evaluated included outdoor activities, trained leadership, service projects, building Cub Scouting, and advancement. We take great pride in our program, our scouts, and our families!   Take a moment to learn more about us by browsing this site.

Boys that are in the first through fifth grades are always welcome to join our Scouting adventures!  Boys that are age eleven or older, please visit our Troop’s website.  Membership in our units is open to all boys in Douglas regardless of religious affiliation.
